The light of hidden flowers.?.While first reading the name of the novel, I assumed it to be about romance; jumping past the description and the customer reviews I examined the amount of 5 star ratings and opted to purchase. Though this book was not first in the the pecking order of choices, the day I began reading and ever since then I have not stopped. I often read 2-3 books at a time to keep myself interested, but this novel had me hooked and there was no time or desire to open another.Missy, is an only child, an introvert, dealing with the death of a parent, and not yet over her first love, you can say missy is a clear representation of many young girls today. But that is her past, and though time moved on she has not. She has stayed under her fathers wings, no lover, no social life, just her, her colleagues, work, and home..The truth of the matter is, Missy was comfortable with her routine, whenever she was prompted to leave the nest, break through her shell, she argued that she was happy. She made excuses for fears and assured everyone that it wasn't necessary to face them.However life had different plans, if missy wasn't going change for the better than life was going to "force" her to. At the unexpected death of her dear and cherished father, Missy, found herself thrown into deep water with no life vest or floating device, as he was that to her. This unseen turn of events catapulted her into situations that she never would have thought of doing and it was until she came face to face with these circumstances that she realized her capabilities and how she had held herself back for so long..Missy became exposed to things that without a doubt improved her life in various areas. There were tons of fears she had to over come, but with each passing hurdle she realized how limited her life was before and how much of the world she was missing.Many can relate to the struggles of fear but missy through fighting her fears, became someone she herself didn't recognize. She uncovered talents she never knew she had, opportunities, blessings and purposes. This is a novel but there are countless lessons not just for introverts but for everyone who is being held back by their fears.I enjoyed this read, the lessons and the literature were exceptional.
