This is a fantastic album that grabs you immediately, but rewards repeat listening. The album has a consistent theme but does not become repetitive. The playing is fantastic, with a consistent groove and minimal aimless noodling. The quieter pieces, including the beautiful "For a Breath I Tarry," provide a nice contrast to the space funk of the bulk of the album. The back third is especially strong, including "Have Spacesuit Will Travel (Part 2)" and "Girl and Robot with Flowers (Part 6)". I have become a big fan of Greg Foat over the last few months. Highly recommended.
