The central focus of this CD is the 31 minute, 37 second, three-part suite dedicated to Anthony Braxton, "whYeXpliCitieS".This track goes through several changes in style and temperament. From hard rock guitars to settled chamber nuances, with a bit of free jazz thrown in for good measure,rendering it completely unpredictable...a wonderful, joyous ride.The rest of the CD is devoted to trio and duo work, which while not as equally compelling, serves again as a reminder that Mr. Bynum has certainly arrived!
